PRIVACY
The short version: we keep almost nothing. Your three initials and your score go on a public board if you sign it. Everything else stays on your device, which is the only thing here that will remember you fondly.
Last updated October 8, 2026On the public board
- Your initialsThree letters, only if you choose to sign a high score. Anyone who visits the arcade can see them next to your score.
- Your scoreThe number, which game it was for, and the date. We keep each player's best score per game on the all-time board, that week's board and, for daily challenge runs, that day's board.
Kept on our side, never shown
- A player keyThe first time you sign a score, your browser makes up a random ID and sends it with that score and later ones. We keep a one-way hash of it beside your entry for as long as the entry exists, so nobody else can replace your score by typing your initials. It isn't shown to anyone and isn't tied to anything else about you.
- Run ticketsWhen a run starts, the page asks our server for a ticket that says when. Nothing is stored for it. The ticket comes back with your score so the board can refuse scores that arrive faster than the game can be played, which is also why a run started offline can't be signed.
- A scrambled addressWhen you sign the board, we store a one-way hash of your IP address with the times you submitted and which initials you signed for each game that day, so one connection can't flood a board or fill it with made-up players. It is deleted by a nightly cleanup once the day is over. The hash is made with a secret key and changes every day, so it can't be turned back into your address. We never store your actual IP address.
- Backups of the boardEach night we keep a copy of the public boards (initials, scores, dates and the scrambled player keys beside them) for two weeks, so a vandalised board can be put back.
- Who's onlineWhile an arcade page is open and on screen, it checks in about once a minute with a random ID made up for that tab, so the taskbar can show how many people are here. The ID isn't linked to you, your initials or your scores, and each check-in is deleted within a few minutes.
- Hosting logsThe arcade is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) under its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Only on your device
- Your bestsPersonal best scores, saved Candy Evolution boards (your normal one and today's daily), a signed score whose post was cut off until it goes through, your player key, the ticket for a run in progress, what you've posted to each board, ghost replays of your best Avalanche Ski and Last Ride runs, your sound setting, a few game options and the last initials you used. They live in your browser's storage. Your player key and run tickets are sent with the scores you sign; the rest is never sent anywhere. For the length of a visit, each tab also remembers its online ID and whether you've seen the startup screen. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
- Offline copiesInstalled games keep a copy of themselves on your device so they work without a connection.
Not collected
- Nothing elseNo accounts, no email addresses, no cookies, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. We don't sell or share data, because we don't have any worth mentioning.
- KidsThe arcade isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. Since the board holds only initials and scores, there is nothing personal to collect anyway.
Want a score taken down, or have a question about any of this? Email us with the game, the initials and roughly when, and we'll remove it.
sales@reintslabs.comIf anything here changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Use of the arcade is also covered by the Reints Labs terms and the general Reints Labs privacy policy; where they differ for the arcade, this page is the specific one.
